Being able to identify a specific person or entity is becoming more and more important for public and private organizations.  Complicating this need is an explosive growth in the amount of data and number of datasets that must be searched.  Despite these challenges, government agencies and commercial enterprises are under increasing pressure to conform to regulations such as the USA PATRIOT Act, Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPPA.

S3’s TeraMatch® is purpose-built to improve the speed and accuracy of matching data across multiple sources.  Unlike traditional matching technologies, TeraMatch® uses several parts of a record (e.g. name, nationality, SSN) and scores each match based on how closely the source and target records match.  This matching approach significantly improves the sensitivity of matches, dramatically reducing false positives, while at the same time ensuring that all true matches are made.
