Jack Holt, CEO/COO
Jack Holt has served in strategic planning positions in high growth and Fortune 500 environments. S3's strategic direction has been guided by Holt, who brought together some of the best minds at work in healthcare, communications, investment services, business automation, and data warehousing. A former Captain in the U.S. Marine Corps, Holt completed his BBA in Finance from the University of Memphis and has graduate course work in electrical engineering from Southern Methodist University.
Mark Davies, Chief Technology Officer
As CTO for S3, Mark Davies is a leader in the design and implementation of the company’s software solutions. His diverse background includes both business analysis and technological skills. Davies co-developed the patent-pending TeraMatch® technology that makes possible S3’s ability to match transactions on hundreds of millions of records of data. His business expertise has helped Davies to understand mission critical challenges for S3 clients, and then design, build, and implement their solutions. Davies is a graduate of Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Rod Taylor, President: Financial Services
Prior to Rod’s commission as Vice President of Business Development/Sales with S3 Corporation, he served as the Director of Market Data for the Charles Schwab Corporation. Based out of Austin, Texas and working from the CyberTrader Inc. offices (a subsidiary of Charles Schwab), Rod’s responsibilities were to provide technology solutions that deliver streaming high quality, high speed, fully comprehensive market data content and news to millions of Charles Schwab customers. Rod also served for several years as a registered and designated principal for the CyberTrader Broker/Dealer. Catering to active trading and hyperactive trading clients, CyberTrader develops server/client software technology that allows both CyberTrader and Schwab clients to route order flow directly to market centers such as Nasdaq, NYSE and Electronic Communication Networks (i.e. Instinet). Rod’s successful projects in managing data and business relationships at CyberTrader led to similar responsibilities when the company was acquired by the Charles Schwab organization. He also spent several years as a Registered Representative and Sales Manager for a major Wall Street firm that catered to Financial Services community.
John Standerfer, Vice President: Financial Services
As a Senior Software Engineer at S3, John brings over 10 years of client facing software development expertise. His experience as the lead developer of a java based trading platform at the Charles Schwab company provides an ideal background for understanding the intricacies of the financial markets. John also has significant experience working with large, scaleable systems from his time as Software Developer at Microsoft working on the Windows 2000 operating system. He has a Computer Science degree from The University of Texas at Austin.
Brandon Smith, Vice President: Telecom and IT Solutions
As Vice President, Telecom and IT Solutions, Brandon is responsible for sales, operations and delivery of S3’s data quality solutions in the telecommunications and IT markets.
Brandon brings over 15 years of experience leading high-growth professional services and software organizations, with a specific emphasis on delivering custom and packaged applications to telecom, government and financial organizations. Most recently, Brandon served in a variety of executive roles at a global business assurance and data integration software company. Brandon served in the United States Marine Corps, holds a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Texas State University and an MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Studies from Southern Methodist University.
Andrea (Andi) Gillentine, Vice President: Health Care
Andi Gillentine’s background in health care analysis and quality provide S3 with a detailed and unique understanding of the varied technical needs of the health care industry. Ms. Gillentine has consulted on national claims payment error projects and directed the implementation of automated operational monitoring systems for health plan administrators. As Director of Quality for the Texas Medicaid Program, Ms. Gillentine implemented process reengineering that improved product quality while reducing work effort.
Ms. Gillentine has a degree in Mathematics from Bryn Mawr College, and a Masters degree in Epidemiology from the University of Texas, School of Public Health.
