S3's Quantum5 Grid to Reduce Toxic Order Flow

Quantum5's Grid to Reduce Toxic Order Flow.  Platform Will Increase Profitability on Trade Routing Decisions.

(Austin, Texas) – September 20 , 2007

The trades that cost order routing firms and brokerages more money to execute than they provide in fees will be dramatically reduced, easily monitored, and managed using a new service available only

on Quantum5’s Grid.  Companies sending trades to various exchanges will have the ability to assess trade execution costs in real time and compare those expenses to revenue earned from the customers that are paying for the trades.

"Our clients don't want to worry about losing prestige or credibility along with the hard dollars toxic flow costs them," said Rod Taylor, VP of Business Development for Quantum5.  “A lot of firms aren¹t even aware that order flow is toxic to them until they get their statements from the exchanges at the end of the month.”

Using a portal on the Grid, Quantum5’s clients can log in and view revenue from intraday trading and compare that figure against costs of execution on a particular exchange or any other routing destination.  All supporting data will be provided in essential, easy to use reporting forms, and users

will be able to prevent spending more with the exchanges than they earn from customers that are purchasing securities.  Invoices will be automatically generated at the end of the month and accessible through the Grid.

"The broker/dealers pushing the toxic flow are so nimble that our clients needed a way to put a stop to

it before the invoices are cut,” said John Standerfer, VP of Product Development for Quantum5. “If we waited until the end of the month to provide the analysis, it would be too late to do anything about it."
